This is a case report of a term fetus delivered from a 30 year-old multiparous woman, who was referred to the emergency center with clear premature rupture of membrane. Induction of labor was done 12 hours after rupture of membranes 5 hours later a male baby was born. No heart rate abnormalities were detected during labor. After expulsion of fetal head, a string of tissue, approximately 5cm length was observed suspending from his mouth. The string was taken out with a ring forceps. The thickness of the string was 5.5cm and the end 10cm had a green (bile) discoloration. There was no report of presence of this string or any anomaly in her ultrasound during pregnancy. We did not find any extra fetus origin for the amniotic band in placenta and fetal membranes. Pathology report was amniotic string. The mother and her infant were discharged from hospital in a good condition. Keywords: Amnionic string (band), Fetal swallowin
